Operating Cost Estimate 2.0 is an updated version that more accurately reflects the operating performance envelope of the Evolution® Extreme Heat Pump, the Evolution® V Variable-Speed Heat Pump, and the Evolution® V Variable-Speed Air Conditioner. Through expanding the use of discrete data points within the existing variable-speed operating envelope, we are able to more closely represent the operating cost of variable-speed systems.

Operating Cost Estimate 2.0 should be used as a metric to compare relative operating costs between system choices. Actual operating costs are dependent on many factors including weather conditions, fuel/electricity costs, and accurate building load estimations, and therefore may vary from the calculated operating costs through Operating Cost Estimate 2.0.
